Biography
Kathleen Avena Blanco earned her Ed.D. in Educational Psychology from La Sierra University. She earned her M.S. in Counseling with options in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and School Based Family Counseling from California State University, Los Angeles, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside. Since 2007, her roles have included being a comprehensive school counselor and Program/Behavior Specialist for school districts within Southern California. She has served as a part-time faculty member for graduate programs at Lipscomb University and Whittier College. She is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and holds a P.P.S. credential in School Counseling as well as a Child Welfare and Attendance (CWA) credential. Developing and supporting comprehensive school counseling programs to increase academic, college/career, and social/emotional outcomes within K-12 settings are integral within her role as CWA Program Director.
